![]() Which is why I just said fuck it and turned on the gecko cheat to give me 240 stars cause I did not want to do those boring ass green stars, and did all the World S galaxies individually as if I had not done them yet. You NEED to have 240 stars and a SHIT ton of star bits to the point where you would need to grind a bit for them, which in a mario game is omega boring. However, to get there is what can trouble me a ton and everyone who talks about this game. What was REALLY the endgame was World S, which is what tipped me from giving this game a 8-8.5 to a 9 tbh. World S/ End-Game Ok I will admit Bowser as a final boss. Happy, fun, Mario Music with some standouts as usual. Not as good as Galaxy 1, but still good enough music. Music Still pretty good in terms of Mario games. Galaxy 1 is easily better for story, but the story was already dogshit as is so that that however you want it. The story is now told as a flashback and book style, and its def for the worse as it just reuses the galaxy 1 story, but with 0 characters as rosalina is barely in the game, and is replaced by this chubby fuck who does absolutely nothing but complain that you should take a break. ![]() Story/Character Didn't even try in this aspect. While there isn't as many standouts at galaxy 1 levels, it has nowhere near the amount of BAD lows as Galaxy 1, and the endgame, grindy as it is (skipped the grinding part), is atleast super fun in terms of content, especially the perfect run. It was also probably the only power up to not actually nerf mario's movement in one way or another, which is already limited as it is. Cloud Power-up was EASILY peak mario power up, it gives sooo much movement control for mario and allowed for sooo much creativity with the usage. but was heavily underused in this game tbh. Yoshi as an addition was also amazing, especially with chili Yoshi. Now a ton of the bosses actually use the mario power ups as their fight and it made the bosses 10x more fun to play against. Boss fights were actually super fun to play through and gave a variety of gameplay styles that were super engaging for me, instead of Galaxy 1 boss fights were if you were not the rock boss, it was stomp, wait for a bit, repeat 3 times. Gameplay Simply improved at a TON of aspects in Galaxy 2. While there are still glaring issues I had with Galaxy 1, a ton of the positives make up for it, especially (or depending on how you view it) in the end-game. However, Galaxy 2 surprised me a ton with the gameplay and how many things that I complained a ton about galaxy 1 was made to be actually fun this time. 90% EmulatedSuper Mario Galaxy 2 was the game that took a bit for me to start playing simply cause Galaxy 1 was not as good as people said it was imo.
